Who is Maison Kitsune?
Gildas Loaëc and Masaya Kuroki, co-founders and creative directors, conceived Maison Kitsuné in 2002. A trip to Japan inspired them to bring their passions together around a single concept: a one-of-a-kind brand that unites fashion, music and design. The name “Kitsuné” meaning “fox” in Japanese and a symbol of versatility, struck them as the most obvious choice. Maison Kitsuné men’s and women’s wear strikes a perfect balance between tradition and modernity, comfort and simplicity, chic and laid-back.
It’s no secret that I’m a huge fan of cleansing oils, especially ones by Shu Uemura. So I was beyond thrilled when I was sent this Shu Uemura x Maison Kitsune Ultime8 Sublime Beauty Cleansing Oil from the Holiday 2015 collection. If you want to take a look at my last Shu cleansing oil review, click here.
This cleansing oil formula effortlessly removes all stubborn make-up and impurities to leave skin soft, smooth, hydrated, nourished from within and with a glowing with a radiance. Made in Japan, it contains eight botanical origin oils. I can honestly say that this is by far, my favourite cleansing oil since it’s from the Ultime8 range. I find this range to be the most moisturising and much thicker in consistency, which I enjoy. It’s rich and my skin still feels hydrated after my cleansing regime.
Of course, being a Shu cleansing oil, it’s no surprise that it removes all kind of make-up and impurities effortlessly. I love the packaging as well; it’s cute and perky. Another thing that most people might not notice is the different languages that are present on the box. I find it so frustrating when I purchase products, only to find out later that all the instructions are in a language that I cannot comprehend.
Shu Uemura x Maison Kitsune Ultime8 Sublime Beauty Cleansing Oil available at The Bay for $48.00 CAD.
