Yazbukey x shu uemura blanc: chroma cleansing oil review

Brighten and polish your love like Tina – she’s always looking for clarity in her relationships. Brightening and polishing gentle cleansing oil for whitening concerns. The blanc:chroma is a light-textured cleansing oil that polishes away accumulated melano-stains (dead cells containing melanin on the skin surface that cause uneven and dull skin tone) for brighter, transparent and smoother skin.

Shu Uemura collaborates with Paris based accessory and jewelry designer Yaz Bukey for a frivolously fun and irreverently chic collection. Yaz Bukey is a fairy tale heroine come to life- the Paris-based Ottoman princess descends from Egyptian royalty. She reigns over her own queen-dome, the Yazbukey brand, worshipped around the world for its tongue-in-cheek feminine sophisti-pop.

I love the story of this collaboration. It’s about 4 women who happens to fall in love with the same guy, Mr. Shu Shu. Each girls needs her own Shu Shu, but only one can be the champion of love.

This specific cleansing oil is part of the “blue” collection, which is represented by Daring Tina. She is daring and creative, a daughter of a Japanese artist mother and French singer father. Tina is a charismatic magazine fashion editor who’s creative, daring and looks stunning in avant-garde fashion.

Being a huge fan of cleansing oils, I don’t know why it has taken me so long to try the infamous Shu Uemura one! Shu Uemura cleansing oil was developed from the knowledge that Mr. Uemura gained while working as a foremost hollywood makeup artist in the 1950s. The secret to Shu Uemura cleansing oil is protecting the skin’s delicate balance while removing make-up and impurities in a single step.

After using this cleansing oil for a week, I can declare that it’s the best cleansing oil that I’ve ever tried. This is better than Shiseido, Bobbi Brown, L’Oreal & Garnier! It melts all my makeup off without any problems, even waterproof mascara. It’s very light weight yet, it’s very powerful. My long-lasting eyeliner does not stand a chance against this cleansing oil. What I love even more, is that my skin actually feels refreshed after using this. No oily slick feeling at all, rather my skin feels squeaky clean, which makes me feel like I don’t even need a second cleanse.

Though I can see this huge bottle lasting be around 4 – 6 months, since I only need around 2 pumps, the price at $92.00 CAD is very high. (I guess if you do the math, it’s around $16 per month, if it lasts for 6 months). Overall, I think that if you wear makeup on a daily basis, I think this is absolutely the product to look into because you don’t have to worry about residue. The collection will be available at select Hudson’s Bay, Sephora and Holt Renfrew locations as well as online at www.shuuemura.ca as of May 2015.

Is Shu still your fave? Have you found better locations for deals on this yet? Am willing to try as used Shiseido and Bobbie Brown….and if you say great product still then willing to buy. Am in Toronto also

    • Yes, Shu is still my favourite just because it takes off even my waterproof makeup with the lease amount of trouble! It leaves my skin feeling softer than the Shiseido and the Bobbi Brown one!

Where do you get best deals to buy Shu? Again thank you for your great reviews and comments!

Not sure if you got my earlier question but where to buy Shu oil at best deal in Toronto area? Thanks

  • Ugh, I love Shu’s cleansing oil, but it IS crazy expensive! Especially since you can now get drug store oils.. But I do love the packaging!

    • I agree! But I have tried many drugstore oils before and after trying the Shu one, I can honestly say the Shu one is my FAV! My skin feels hydrated and not completely stripped away of moisture, which I find other oils failed to do. I can see why they are the #1 seller for so long! :)
