WHY I LOVE THIS PRODUCT
AHHHHHHHHHHH! I pretty sure that’s what I said when I first saw these eyeliners last year in Hong Kong. As you can probably imagine, I simply cannot hold back my excitement for anything that’s Sailor Moon and it’s makeup too! As far as I am aware, this item is available in most Asian countries but not in mass retailers in North America. You would probably have to purchase from YesStyle.com ($20.00) or SaSa.com ($14.00). The liquid liner comes in both black and brown.
The packaging is extremely sweet and dreamy. I love all the design on the liner itself and having Lunar there is an extra added touch. I especially love the box that it comes in because it opens up and has a picture of all the Sailor Scouts! It’s super pretty and cute! I won’t be throwing away the box anytime soon.
The tip of the liner is both soft and sharp, which I personally think it’s perfect for creating a cat-eye. I use liquid liner on a daily basis and I think this type of brush is ideal. The feel of the liner is very similar to that of the Dolly Wink eyeliners, which are my HG’s. However, I must admit, the Dolly Wink one is a lot more pigmented than these ones. (The brown one is, especially, not as dark in colour). I need to apply 2 layers of the liner to get the same colour payoff as the Dolly Wink ones, which isn’t all that bad.
Another difference is the drying time. Since I have to apply 2 layers of the liner it makes the drying time a lot slower. But, once dried, this Sailor Moon eyeliner is absolutely SMUDGE-PROOF. I can rub it so many times with my finger and it’ll not budge. Take a look at the gif below:
