I am really fortunate when I say that I’ve never had braces or anything more serious than 2 cavities in my lifetime. I want to credit myself for keeping my teeth in top shape but I really have to thank the good parenting of my mom and dad. Now, aside from brushing twice daily, I have added mouthwashes and whitening strips to my oral health routine. These two products are my favorite at the moment: Dentyl Active Smooth Mint Mouthwash and Crest 3D Whitestrips Luxe Supreme Flexfit.

I was introduced to Dentyl Active Smooth Mint Mouthwash around 2 months ago. The product was designed by a leading dentist to provide fresh breath and to also eliminate oral bacteria as well as remove food debris to give your mouth a deep clean. What’s really cool about this mouthwash is that it has two unique phase solution which is completely alcohol free. You have to shake it well prior to usage and it leaves your mouth feeling hydrated rather than a dry feeling like other mouthwashes on the mass market.

You can also see it work as it highlights the bacteria and food debris in the sink as brightly coloured masses so you know that it is working. It’s a great well for me to see how much I have missed while brushing. The masses can be easily washed away when you rinse the sink.

My other little gem in keeping my teeth in tiptop shape is this Crest 3D Whitestrip Luxe Supreme Flexfit. Crest claims that these specific strips are supposed to work as well as a $500 professional teeth whitening treatment vs. laser. I can’t compare because I’ve never used laser whitening, but I must admit, these strips work wonders on my teeth. I also love the Flexfit technology design that stretches and molds to my teeth. They fit really nicely and it’s a comfortable and no-hassle at home teeth whitening experience. A little tip from me: I don’t leave mine on for more than 30 minutes even though the strips have the same enamel-safe teeth whitening ingredients dentists use.
So that’s it…my 2 little secrets to healthy and dazzling teeth! :)

  • I actually went to the dentist for the first time in 5 years and they told me I was lucky that I maintained brushing and flossing because I didn’t have anything really wrong besides gum recession from brushing too hard :( but yay. I really want to try that Dentyl mouthwash because I recently started using Listerine and found it was making my gums and teeth reaallyyy sensitive. You are so lucky that you haven’t had problems with your teeth! I had so many problems in the past because of lack of taking care of them :p

    • It was the same for me too! I personally HATE the dentists, so I rarely go for a check up…haha #guilty. But if you want something not so strong, I don’t like Listerine at all, try Crest. They have one without any alcohol (I think it’s the one with the purple liquid), it’s very good! :)
