Now with my shorter hair, I’m really happy that I can try out more shampoos and conditioners. These are all the recent releases of some local drugstore brands that are available now. I’m a firm believing in switching shampoos and conditioners on a regular basis because your hair will get use to the same brand.

There are some winners in the mix and you can scroll down to read my thoughts of each set. I’m going to start from my favorite to my least favorite.

Fekkai Brilliant Glossing Shampoo and Conditioner with Olive Oil
Let the radiant ritual begin with the luscious, luster-enhancing lather of Brilliant Glossing Shampoo, Fekkai’s iconic shine shampoo. Its translucent formula cleanses hair with luster enhancing lather. Show hair the way to shine daily with Brilliant Glossing Conditioner, Fekkai’s richly rewarding iconic shine conditioner. Its soft crème formula bathes hair in brilliantly lustrous radiance.

My Thoughts: I’m so in love with both of these shampoo and conditioner. It’s definitely my favorite set out of the 4. Both of these products are very rich and lathers really easily. So this means a little bit of the product can go a long way. My hair feels very smooth and shiny after usage. It does contain olive oil, which is a great ingredient for your hair. The only compliant I have is the strong smell because to be honest, I’m not a fan of olive oil. But aside from the smell, the Fekkai shampoo and conditioner is worth trying out.

Herbal Essences Naked Volume Collection
The Herbal Essences Naked Volume Collection is infused with an intoxicating blend of citrus and fresh mint. The zesty grapefruit, lemon and orange paired with crisp mint will leave you energized and refreshed in and out of the shower.
– Herbal Essences Naked Volume Shampoo cleanses the hair of residues while restoring its natural body and leaving it touchably soft, full and lustrous without sulfates, colourants or parabens.
– Herbal Essences Naked Volume Conditioner smoothes dry and damaged hair, leaving it soft and shiny for lightweight, bouncy volume without the buildup of heavy residues from colourants or paragons.

My Thoughts: I actually have pretty thick hair, so one of my concern is unable to find shampoo/conditions that cleanses my hair without weighing it down. I was surprised that the Naked collection left my hair actually feeling lighter and airier. This makes it so much easier for me to style my shorter hair. It has an invigorating blend of white grapefruit and mint extracts with I love. It contains zero dyes to leave your hair naturally clean. So let’s get naked!

Vidal Sassoon Colorfinity
The Vidal Sassoon Pro Series ColorFinity Shampoo is a gentle cleansing shampoo for color treated hair. The Vidal Sassoon Pro Series ColorFinity Conditioner is daily protection and renewal for color treated hair. It shields your color-treated hair from damage and works together with our Pro Series ColorFinity Conditioner to help protect your hair color up to 40 washes.

My Thoughts: Vidal Sassoon shampoo was available in Japan for a long time with popular demand and I was wondering why US/Canadian market is not available. Now, it’s time and the quality and smell are the same! The shampoo is rich and luxuriant and it holds the color really well. I had recently had my hair colored and my colour still looks fresh. And for the amount of product you get for the price…it’s another score in my books.

L’Oreal Paris Hair Expertise Nutri-Shimmer Crystal
If your hair is lifeless, lacking lustre, bounce and softness, it’s time to give it some shimmer! Show your locks some love with the new L’Oreal Paris Hair Expertise Nutri-Shimmer Crystal haircare line. Enriched with micro-crystals and pearls that liquefy into the hair, the new lightweight formula captures and reflects light for a radiant crystal shine from root to tip.

Hair Expertise Nutri-Shimmer Crystal benefits:
-Silicone-free formula leaves hair feeling soft and weightless
-Offers a precious, feather-light gel texture
-Packed with protein to nourish and strengthen long, normal-to-fine hair
-Acts like a gloss to revitalize hair and infuses it with a superbly crystal shine

My Thoughts: While I think the bottle and the actual product is really pretty, (look at all the pink!), the L’Oreal Hair Expertise Nutri-Shimmer Crystal line is on the bottom of my list. I really enjoy the shampoo more than the conditioner. While the shampoo lathers greatly, I find that the conditioner leaves my hair feeling coarse. The scent is gorgeous but I just don’t find the set to really do much for my hair.

Look how pretty the crystals are? You can actually see them as you use the products!
