The Estée Edit Pink Peony Overnight Water Pack Review

A water-gel mask enriched with fruit and flower extracts, antioxidants, and mega hydration to smooth, brighten, and revitalize skin.

This innovative Pink Peony Overnight Water Pack features a water-gel formula that delivers a power-packed punch of glow and hydration while you sleep. Pink peony, gogi berry, blueberry, and cranberry soothe, smooth, and brighten skin while hyaluronic acid hydrates. Its quick-absorbing gel glides effortlessly over skin, leaving skin radiant and baby-soft. Infused with a delicately delicious and refreshing pink peony skin, this mask can be used as a daily overnight treatment or anytime as a hydrating and energizing mask.

-As an overnight mask, apply a generous layer over your face and neck as the last step in your nighttime skincare routine.
-As a rejuvenating mask, apply to clean skin for 15-20 minutes and rinse off with warm water.

-Pink Peony: Rich in antioxidants to combat the harmful effects of the environment along with other glow-boosting extracts of goji berry, blueberry, cranberry, and pomegranate.
-Hyaluronic Acid: Hydrates by attracting and drawing moisture into the skin.

Ahhhhh, I had such high hopes for this product because 1) I’m a huge fan of Estee Lauder and 2) who doesn’t love a good overnight water pack? I love the Laneige Water Sleeping Mask and I had wished that this one would have been just as good or even better since it’s $50 ($20 more expensive than the Laneige one). I’m nearing the end of my 20’s and though with combo-oily skin, this night mask did really little for my skin. It does keep my skin somewhat hydrated but I still see some dry spots especially near some of my breakouts. This brings me to the other problem: I broke out after using this cream. At first, I thought it was just hormonal but once I stopped using this product my face was back to normal. Then when I started using it again after 4 days, and my skin got problematic again. Therefore, I’m pretty sure my skin reacts to something that’s in this moisturiser.

The texture is very similar to my favourite gel-cream of all time by Garner, which I love. I can see how this product might be more ideal for people who are younger than me since they might need less hydration. However, I ended up giving this water pack to my husband and it worked well for his skin. It didn’t cause him any problems at all; maybe he has younger skin than me…haha!

Overall, I think this product is pretty overpriced at $50 since it’s really only good for some hydration. With that being said, I don’t know if any 18-24 year-olds would pay that much for a simple moisturiser and it’s definitely not effective enough for more mature skins.
