The Oscars is like the Super Bowl of fashion! Everyone has their eyes glued to the television and everyone thinks they’re a critic. And I was no exception because I watched the entire show from beginning to end. Here is my top best dressed list for yesterday’s Hollywood beyond glamourous award show.
Surprisingly, my top look from last night is Kate Hudson. I think she looks absolutely breath-taking in this cape-sholder Versace gown. The deep, deep neckline is a bold risk, which I think proves to work perfectly for her body. The strong shoulders are just a great offset to the feminine neckline.
Next, Charlize Theron in a black Dior also deserves some raves. She looked stunning and in a very modern way as well.
Jennifer Lawrence also win my vote for choosing this strapless Dior tomato red peplum-waisted gown. It’s a fun color without overwhelming the person wearing it. And can we say how amazing is her “backlace”?
Emma Watson will always be one of my style icon crushes. This Vera Wang gown is edgy, yet elegant at the same time. I love how she’s slowly maturing her look without looking too trashy, which is a trap that some child stars risk falling into.
Of course, I simply cannot end this list without Lupita Nyong’o. I love her choice of color for the Oscars last night. The pale blue Prada gown stood out from the crowd and reminded me so much of Cinderella, a childhood favorite. And who can forget the final touch to the outfit with the sparkling headband atop her head?
