WHY I LOVE THIS PRODUCT
This is the first of 3 separate reviews on the new L’Oreal Paris’ new Sublime Cleansers, a line of premium cleansing formulas designed to encourage women to re-evaluate their daily skin classing routine. With this new line, skin cleansing is no longer a chore for women but a sublime daily ritual designed to pamper and reveal beautiful and healthier looking skin.
This Gentle Micellar Solution is part of the Sublime Soft line, which is created for dry and sensitive skin. By now, everyone is probably comparing this new cleansing water by L’Oreal Paris to the Bioderma Sensibio H2O. I was not expecting this product to be on par with the Bioderma Sensibio H2O, however, it does and dare I say it – exceeds it. It smoothes dry and sensitive skin and contains D-Panthenol an active soothing ingredient that optimizes hydration levels in dry and sensitive skin.
So why is it so good? It removes makeup so perfectly! I enjoy soaking my entire cotton pad with the solution and then just wiping it all over my face and eyes. Usually by the third pad all my skin makeup will be gone. It doesn’t leave my skin feeling tight or dry after usage and yet leaves no residue, very fresh look. I usually prefer using cleansing oils as my main makeup remover, but this cleansing solution is great for the drier winter season. (Note: I still double cleanse afterwards) I also prefer this over the Bioderma one because it doesn’t sting my eyes! When I try to use the Bioderma cleansing on my eye makeup, it stings…sometimes a lot. However, it has not happened with this L’Oreal one.
The only downside about this product is the packaging! Basically, the bottle really sucks from a consumers point of view because it’s really hard to control the amount of product that comes out. Though the bottle is really nice looking, but it’s so easy to waste a lot of the solution if you’re not careful. However, with a price tag of just $11.99 CAD, it’s a fraction of the Bioderma Sensibio H2O, so I guess it’s okay? Haha!
Ease of Use (5/5)
