My love for Maybelline’s Baby Lips products will never cease to end! (Remember my first review here?) Well, this Electro Collection is even better! There are six different shades to choose from in this collection. Pink Shock, Fierce N Tangy, Berry Bomb, Oh Orange, Minty Sheer, and Strike a Rose. I picked up just two from the collection, Pink Shock and Oh! Orange because I think these two will probably be the most pigmented.

And indeed, they are nicely pigmented for lip balm products. I also really enjoy the new packaging: the black tubes with the neon writing is very cool! (L to R: Oh! Orange and Pink Shock) These Baby Lips are a great alternative for someone who wants a bit of color in a lip balm. It lasts for around 2-3 hours before needing to retouch.

I do find that the formula is not the most moisturizing, but considering the color payoff, I think it’s sufficient. I do find that the orange color is less moisturizing than the pink one. Also, these lip balms have a great smell and taste! Each flavor is different; Oh Orange is of course an orange taste and Pink Shock tastes and smells like candy. I really do enjoy the flavor of these balms, which is very unusual of me because I tend to stay away from makeup that have rich scent. Lastly, with a price tag of under $4 CAD at my local Walmart/Target, I’m simply in love with this product.

  • Lulu

Great review. I’ll try these out one day. :D I can add it to my lip collection and I love this lip tint from thefaceshop even though it taste funny.

    • What’s the lip tint name from thefaceshop? Is it good? :)

  • Whoa, I’m totally surprised by the pigmentation! I have a few of the regular Baby Lips and no matter the shade (clear, coral, & plum) they all end up looking the same on my lips.. Will have to check these out!

    • Yeah I know! I’m really happy with the pigmentation of these! And I probably got the most pigmented colours as well! :) I also can’t wait to try the Dr. Rescue ones as well!
