PURPLE LINE

From China "Chanel" graphic tee, from Hong Kong floral jumper worn as pants (similar here on SALE & here also on SALE under $10), Aldo loafers (similar here & here under $30!), boyfriend's studded bracelet (similar here), from Ebay skulls bracelet (get it here & here under $2!), Casio watch (round version here)

There's no denying it. It’s no secret that the burgundy/purple/magenta lip is one of the hottest beauty trends for fall. I couldn't help but sport some purple lips and dark red nails for the past week. As some of you may recall, I'm not a huge fan of bold lips. I'm more of a nudes/pinks type of girl. However, as the weather is turner cooler, I couldn't resist darkening up my look. The purple lipstick that I have on is from the L'Oreal Colour Caresse by Colour Riche color. The colour is called Violet Chiffon (get it here & here). So in love with this line of lipsticks but even more in love with this colour! It's very smooth yet it has tons of pigments. Totally worth a stop at your local drugstores just to pick up this lipstick!

PS: TVXQ/DBSK fans, get the title? ;)

TOP 10 TRENDS FROM NEW YORK FASHION WEEK S/S 2013: TREND #4 CROP TOPS

Mood [Satisfied]
Currently Playing [Suzie McNeil - Love Can't Save Us Now]

Crop tops are coming back in for Spring/Summer 2013. (It reminds me so much of the 90s) So you know what that means girls? It's time to work and tone on those abs! Crop tops and bra tops were all over the runway this year. Designers such as Jason Wu, Rag & Bone, Marc Jacobs and Derek Lam had all, one way or another, incorporate this garment in their shows. Ranging from roomy to fitted styles, leather to cotton, the possibilities are endless. At least we have all winter to get our stomachs into shape! ;)

At Jason Wu, the crop top/ bra became the center of attention with the bold, black leather materials.

Though hidden behind an oversized coat, Rag & Bone showed how this little number could still be feminine & sexy by showing just a little bit of the midriff.

Marc Jacobs extended the style to crop graphic sweaters & button-up blouses.

Bold & colourful. Well tailored leather crop tops were the highlights at Derek Lam

TOP 10 TRENDS FROM NEW YORK FASHION WEEK S/S 2013: TREND #3 BROCADE

Mood [Stuffed]
Currently Playing [DBSK - Love in the Ice]

Suno S/S 2013

Brocade? Yes please! This richly decorative shuttle-woven fabric has definitely resurfaced again during the New York Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2013. Made in colored silks with gold and silver threads, this material is like a good statement piece. Among the most notable were brocade tops and dresses at Suno, Helmut Lang, Jill Stuart, and Badgley Mischka.

There is something really beautiful about colored brocade at Helmut Lang

Jill Stuart has always been one of my favourite designers. Her designs are always so elegant and classy. Perfect for a Victorian princess.

I'm loving the brocade details at Badgley Mischka. From the linings on the pants to the detailing on the skirt & shirt, it really shows how versatile this fabric can be.

WHY I LOVE THIS PRODUCT

If you have been following my blog for sometime now, you'll know how much I love this line of lenses! I have down reviews on the Apple Green & Sesame Grey version of these Princess Mimi lenses! I'm so happy to try out these lenses but in Almond Brown! Once again, loving the design of these lenses. They are truly very unique and I think Tsubasa did an exceptional job in designing them.

See how natural they look? Very beautiful and comfortable enough to wear on a daily basis! It looks pretty dark in the picture but I think it blends extremely well with my natural brown eyes. I especially like the black ring around it - it gave me an obvious dolly-eye effect but the colour made it look more natural. (That is a really rare combo when it comes to circle lenses!)

Here is a close up of the actual lenses! Stunning right? They even make the whites of my eyes look "whiter"! LOL ~

One final photo of these lenses on me! I think these are my most-worn lenses so far! I've been wearing them everyday for the past 2 weeks! I still have't gotten bored of them just yet! And because they are a natural color, they look lovely with any type of eye makeup. You don't have to worry about matching it with colorful eyeshadows.

TOP 10 TRENDS FROM NEW YORK FASHION WEEK S/S 2013: TREND #2 BERMUDA SHORTS

Mood [Okay]
Currently Playing [Suzie McNeil - Love Can't Save Us Now]

Who would have thought bermuda shorts would be coming back in for Spring 2013! I guess these are no longer for frumpy tourists! I always find bermuda shorts to be extremely flattering because it makes the legs look so long and slim. I really like how these two designers took the same concept (or same shorts) but transform them so differently. It's always so refreshing to see different methods to wear the same garment. I love how by simply changing the texture of the shorts, you can change the complete look. The shorts ranged from the dressy (Vera Wang) to the causal (Rachel Zoe). I can't wait to start rocking bermuda shorts next Spring!

It's all about the texture and the print at Vera Wang

Keeping it simple and chic, Rachel Zoe stays casual at New York Fashion Week

MAGNETIC NAIL POLISH BY KKCENTERHK REVIEW

Mood [Full]
Currently Playing [None]

Today I'm going to be talking about magnetic nail polish because they are the latest trend in nail design at the moment! I think almost ALL the nail polish brands have created some kind of magnetic polishes! And even KKCenterHK have now started to carry some magnetic nail polishes as well! What's really neat about the store is that they even carry a magnetic stamp tool that's especially designed for their nail polishes.

This is what I received from the company. I chose a darker purple color because it's getting closer to Autumn and darker shades are becoming more popular. This is the tool I was talking about earlier. It's a Magnetic Nail Polish Pattern Shaping Magnet. It has 3 pattern in 1 set and it comes with a small frame and bracket. It makes it very easy to adjust the height of the magnet to the shape pattern on the nails. It's really cool because there's enough space between the magnet so it will make sure that your nail will not tough the magnetic. I always find this to be such a problem when I'm using these polishes. So this tool is very useful!

After you have painted a generous coat of nail polish on, it's time to put the nail under the stamp. Here are some tips for working with magnetic polishes:

-I find that you need a larger amount of polish in order for this to work.
-Remember that it will NOT work if your nail polish is dry, so make sure you stamp it BEFORE.
-You should leave it under the magnet for 5-15 seconds to make sure that the pattern will appear.
-Do not use a fast dry top coat because I noticed that the pattern will fade when a top coat is applied
-Do not touch the magnet with magnetic polish.

Here is the final result! Really pretty huh? Make sure to check out the rest of the magnetic nail polishes by KKCenterHK!

TOP 10 TRENDS FROM NEW YORK FASHION WEEK S/S 2013: TREND #1 LEATHER HARNESSES

Mood [Okay]
Currently Playing [One Direction - Tell me a Lie]

Maybe a bunch of the designers were influenced by 50 Shades of Grey while they were designing these collections because the trend is everywhere! Despite giving of a S&M vibe, I really do enjoy this trend...a LOT (I recently purchased a harness belt from ASOS)! I have always believed that the accessories really set the outfit apart. And these harnesses are able to give feminine dresses some edge and slick. Don't believe me? Take a look below at what these designers are doing!

It's all about blending at BCBG. Black harnesses melds into a dress' graphic pattern

A black harness gives the classic, girly dresses a bit of an edge during at Jason Wu.

A dramatic black harness fits over a skintight dress at Herve Leger.

TATTOOED LEGS

Mood [Rushed]
Currently Playing [One Direction - I Wish]

H&M elbow patch sweater (similar by UO here), Forever 21 shorts (last season), Juicy Couture booties (Black color here), Ebay tattoo leggings (similar by UO here & here) & Rose Gold watch (similar here & here), Bluenotes weaved belt

So to all my fashion followers, I'm terribly sorry for not updating with an outfit post for the longest time! I can explain! Basically, since I'm still unemployed (full-time job-wise) so most of my days, sadly, are spent at home. This means I'm practically living in my PJ's! It sounds so pathetic to actually put it into words, but it's the truth. Thus, I don't really have much of a need to dress up. But don't worry, with 2 more interviews coming up, if everything goes according to plan, I'll have 5 part time jobs by the end of this month. Does that actually make up for 1 full time job?

Anyways, I'm so in love with these tattoo leggings! You may not know this about me, but I don't have a tattoo. (Even though my banner is of me with a tattoo...one word: Chanel) The reason, not because of the pain, but it just seems too permanent to me. Don't get me wrong, I think some tattoos are so chic! But I always thought that if my taste in tattoos is as bi-polar as my taste in fashion, then we'll have a problem. I can't imagine loving the same images or texts for the rest of my life. I always stopped myself from getting one. So wouldn't you say that these tattoo tights are meeting me half way?

L'OREAL PARIS MAGIC SKIN BEAUTIFIER B.B. CREAM REVIEW

Mood [Happy]
Currently Playing [One Direction - More Than This]

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Meet L'oreal's first Self-Adjusting BB Cream cream in Canada, Magic Skin Beautifier, with Beautifying Beads that instantly self-adjust to your perfect shade for a flawless nude look. It delivers multiple beautifying actions: hydrates, corrects, evens and perfects. It’s perfectly you.

This multi-tasking cream micro-infuses skin with continuous and complete care. Offers 24-hour hydration and skin- nourishing antioxidant vitamin E. The beautifying beads with the micro encapsulated pigments self-adjust to skin to unify skin tone and blend invsibly.

FOR BEST RESULT
I would skip using a brush or a sponge to apply this bb cream because the heat from your finger tips actually better activates the cream. So squeeze just a quarter-size amount onto the back of your hand and use your finger to directly apply onto your face.

INGREDIENTS
AQUA/WATER/EAU; ISODODECANE; CYCLOPENTASILOXANE; GLYCERIN; CYCLOHEXASILOXANE; PEG-10 DIMETHICONE; METHYL METHACRYLATE CROSS POLYMER; BUTYLENE GLYCOL; DIMETHICONE; ISOEICOSANE; DISTEARDIMONIUM HECTORITE; BORON NITRIDE; PHENOXYETHANOL; CETYL PEG/PPG-10/1 DIMETHICONE; SODIUM CHLORIDE; POLYGLYCERYL-4 ISOSTEARATE; HEXYL LAURATE; ACRYLATES/AMMONIUM METHACRYLATE COPOLYMER; ISOSTEARYL NEOPENTANOATE; CAPRYLYL GLYCOL; TRIETHYL CITRATE; METHYLPARABEN; C9-15 FLUOROALCOHOL PHOSPHATES/C9-15 FLUOROALCOHOL PHOSPHATE; TOCOPHEROL; PANTHENOL; [+/- MAY CONTAIN: CI 77891/TITANIUM DIOXIDE; CI 77491, CI 77492, CI 77499/ IRON OXIDES]; FIL D49725/2

WHY I LIKE THIS PRODUCT
Finally, a review of a "North American" bb cream! I personally think that it took these brands WAY too long to start developing bb creams. For those who have been reading my blog for sometime, you know what a HUGE fan I am of bb creams. My favorites still being Missha's M Perfect Cover BB Cream and their Signature bb cream. I have also tried Revlon's bb cream, Lioele Triple the Solution bb cream and many, many other brands. So, you can probably tell that I'm a bb cream junkie.

After hearing not so good reviews about the Garnier bb cream and the Maybelline bb cream, I was a bit skeptical about this L'oreal one. But to my surprise, I really like this bb cream! I must admit, I don't LOVE it but it's definitely something that I've been pulling out for the past few weeks. The texture of the bb cream is very unique. It has little grains inside that's suppose to self-adjust to skin. The cream comes as a white colour cream, very different. See the photo below?

Then as you begin to rub, the cream magically changes color. You can see that near the bottom of my hand, that's where the rubbed bb cream is. You can clearly notice the texture of the bb cream...looks very smooth huh? And it blends really nicely with my skin.

Then as you completely rubs it out, that's the final result. I really like the texture of the cream. It's very light, which means that it doesn't feel like you have a LOT of makeup on your skin. It makes my skin very smooth and keeps it hydrated throughout the day.

But with that being said, why I don't LOVE the cream is because being that it's very light, it means that it doesn't have a full coverage. Below is an un-photoshop photo of my cheek. You can clearly see where my acne scars here. So even though it evens out my skin, I would still require a concealer to hide my scars. But overall, if you have less problematic skin than me, I'm pretty sure that you'll love with product. It really does even out the skin with a light coverage. The price is around $10 CDN, which is on the higher end of the drugstore foundation products. But I guess a little goes a long way so it's still pretty reasonable!

And finally, I'm going to end with a self-shot...#vein #shameless (:

RATING
Product (4/5)

APPLE IPHONE 5: TO BUY OR NOT TO BUY?

Mood [Happy]
Currently Playing [DBSK - Holding Back the Tears]

Apple announced the new iPhone earlier today (literally 2 hours ago). I was following the live feed on The Verge and gathered these photos about the iPhone 5. Apple unveiled a device that's thinner, lighter, faster and taller than its predecessor. "This is the biggest thing to happen to iPhone since the iPhone," said Apple marketing chief Phil Schiller. The iPhone 5 features a 4-inch display (i.e. it's larger than the iPhone 4S) and an aluminum and glass body that weighs 112 g and is 7.6mm thick. It will be 20 percent lighter and 18 percent thinner than the iPhone 4S. Also it's been confirmed that they will be changing the 30 pin connector of the older iPhones. The iPhone 5 will feature a smaller connector called Lighting is in. According to Apple, Lightning is only 20 percent the size of the previous one. But of course, Apple will be developing adaptors for the 30 pin connectors.

You can start preordering on September 14th and the phones will be shipped out on September 21st. Countries include: USA, Canada, UK, France, Germany, Australia, Japan, Hong Kong & Singapore. Then in December of this year, it'll be available in 100 different countries.

So I guess the question is, should I purchase this? :)
