UPDATE ON MY LIFE

As you all can probably tell, I haven't blogged in a really long time! Sorry for my absent and no, I have not give up on this blog! Let me fill you in...in the month of July, I think I only made 7 posts. (Remember when I use to post once a day?) Well, life has been extremely busy in the past month. I had been volunteering at a local summer camp and trust me, working 10 hours a day is BEYOND tiring. (Not to mention having to wear a camp t-shirt everyday is not worthy of an outfit post!) So most of the time I just want to go home and sleep! Not to mention that I still need to save them for tutoring and job hunting. Plus, on top of that I have also been playing softball on a league team. With 3 practices per week, my schedule is SUPER packed!
Now that the summer camp is over, I promise I'll be more regular here! But for the time being, I still have a Dolly Wink giveaway (courtesy of Artie Style) going on here!

HOW TO USE

WHY I LIKE THIS PRODUCT
I must admit that I have mixed feelings about this product. Firstly, I really dislike the packaging! The glass bottle is not very handy and it's extremely heavy, which is not ideal for travelling. I also wish the spray came out in a much finer mist. I'm thinking of switching it into a different spray bottle to conserve product. I personally would have just preferred a regular plastic bottle like the Urban Decay All-Nighter Spray. I ended up just pouring all the product into another spray bottle that I have lying around the house. The smell of the product really bothers me as well. It's very heavy and it smells like really, really heavy perfume. So I dislike that a lot.
However, this product exceeds expectations with makeup setting and staying matte all day. It dries really quickly and I can dare say that it's much longer lasting than the Urban Decay one. It works great under hot and humid weather as well, which is perfect for the current summer season. But, it's very difficult to get a hold of this product if you do not want to order it online. I purchased mine from IMATS last year and there's still plenty of product left. If I end up going to IMATS again this year, I'll be sure to pick up a few more bottles! I think this is a must-have product inside any makeup kit! :D

MARKHAM PETITE FEET SHOE SALE (JULY 2012)

I remember saying to myself that I wasn't going to go to another one of these Petite Feet Shoe Sales happening in the Toronto area. However, with the new promotion, $30 for shoes, I couldn't resist! When I arrived at the sale, it was pretty much the same as the other times: PACKED with girls! To my disappointment, all the Sam Edelman shoes were around $60 - $100 and not $30! So in a way, my friend and I felt a little tricked by the advertisement.
With that being said, they did have a HUGE collection of $30 shoes though that were of other brands (size 6 being the largest, good for me because I wear a size 6!). I noticed that they had Juicy Couture shoes this time, which is new, for only $30! Plus, I do like the new buy 4 get 1 free promotion. My friend and I bought 5 pairs together and were able to evenly split the cost. It worked out to around $27 (tax included) per shoe! What a STEAL! A Marinelli leopard loafers! I finally got a pair of loafers! I've been searching for a nice pair with a decent price tag for such a long time! Super happy to have found these! Even though they were a little big, I couldn't resist! They were actually a size 7 but I figured I can put insoles inside to compensate for that. These are perfect for everyday!
Juicy Couture booties. The main reasons why I had purchased this pair are 1) starting to get ready for the Fall season and 2) I don't have a pair of purple shoes! :D These are so Autumn worthy!
Another pair of leopard heels! These are by BCBGeneration. As you can probably tell already, I'm a huge sucker for anything leopard! With the little 1 inch heel, I can wear these to work and on a regular basis!
I'm debating if I should go back tomorrow again to the sale. I think they may have put out some new shoes and would love to see them! If you want more information about the sale, feel free to go on their website here!

WHY I LOVE THIS PRODUCT
First off, I really enjoy the packaging of this product! It reminds me a lot of milk powder for babies. I really like how it comes with a measuring scoop so you can get 7g of product every single time. Plus, the cap actually opens half way so you can have easy access to the product without having to remove it completely.
Onto the actual product...I really LOVED this product! Prevention is KEY to youthful skin. That's why I believe it's so important to start early! Thus, this is a must-use product in my daily routine. Even though you wouldn't notice result after the first can but around the second can, my skin started feeling better. It was a lot smoother and it seemed firmer. A lot of my acne scars had fade dramatically as well. My skin overall, just had a better texture and glow to it. I had also notice that my nails feel stronger than before. I wasn't sure if this was a result of the supplement, but it was a change that I had noticed while I was on it.
The powder had a little bit of weird taste and was a bit difficult to dissolve but still very acceptable. It had a salty taste, I couldn't really put my finger on what it tasted like. I drank it every morning with my cup of tea. However, it tasted really gross if you drink it with water alone. So I would suggest mixing the product into something hot, like coffee or tea. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone that's over the age of 20. I love it! :)

When I had first opened the package from Shoppingholics, I was quite shocked. I knew the color was going to be light but I didn't know that it was going to be this light! It's definitely one of those lenses that are more on the dramatic side. I must admit that it makes me look like a vampire. **TWILIGHT**! HAHA! :D
One issue that I did have with these lenses is the colour. I find that once the color of the lens is mixed with my natural eye colour, it comes off as a little "red" rather than brown. However, this is probably because of my natural eye colour because I have seen other bloggers' photos of this product and it doesn't make their eyes as "red" as mine.

THE LITTLE BLACK DRESS

What I wore to my friends' (J & P) wedding ceremony this morning. I was having a really hard time thinking about what to wear without going overboard. So I opted out for something very simple: this classic black dress from H&M. I think I've had this dress for more than 4 years now and it's still one of my favourite dresses that I own. I am in love with the sweetheart neckline and how this dress looks great with almost ANY jewelry. On another note, as you can probably tell by the photos, (if you missed it on my instagram or twitter), I have straight bangs again! The last time I had straight bangs was back in high school. It was an impulse more than anything when I decided to cut my bangs yesterday. I was getting bored of my hair and when my stylist suggested cutting my bangs, I said "why not?!" Hope you all are having a good weekend so far!
