Two of the most renowned talents from the worlds of fashion and beauty come together to create a special collection.


Uniting over their untiring quests for innovation and beauty, Karl Lagerfeld and Shu Uemura have announced an exclusive cosmetic collection for Christmas 2012.

The designer's 17-piece collection will be delivered to Shu Uemura's 400 locations across the world. (I wonder if it'll be available in Toronto...) All the details about the collection are not yet available but we do know that the Chanel creative director is working on the colors and packaging. He has already shot the advertising campaign.

This moment of creation has roots in more than 20 years of friendship and mutual admiration between the pair. Lagerfeld isn't merely a fan of Shu Uemura — he's also a customer. For the past 20 years, Lagerfeld has been using the brand's products to sketch his designs, draw portraits, and even illustrate political cartoons. Lagerfeld said he turns to Shu Uemura for his artistic needs "because other manufacturers do not offer such beautiful colors."

The search for the perfect pair of nude heels has finally come to an end. These babies from Walmart ($19...score!) are not only comfortable but they are classic: perfect for every occasion, even for teaching. I feel like I can wear them for the rest of my life, assuming they will last that long. Haha! On another note, it would be a lie for me to say that I didn't think of Aney (Allure of Simplicity) this morning when I put together this outfit. Fellow Toronto blogger with the ability to make fashion look so effortless. Sometimes the greatest fashion is the simplest fashion.

So my aunt and my grandmother had officially finished their visit to Toronto. We took them to the airport late at night yesterday. The house is so quiet now that they are gone. Can you tell that I miss them already? My grandmother surprised me yesterday when she presented this necklace to me, which she had purchased from Prince Edward Island. The necklace is beyond perfect and I treasure it even more knowing that my grandmother have gone out of her way to get it for me. She knows me so well and knows how much I love statement necklaces. Aren't grandmothers wonderful?

Last week, my family and JL headed over the the African Lion Safari, Canada's Original Safari Adventure. Located near Rockton, Ontario, it's a great excursion for my family especially when we have visitors from Hong Kong. The African Lion Safari park is about an hour from Toronto and from London , half an hour from Hamilton and Kitchener, so it is easily accessible from the east or west. During your visit you may drive your own vehicle through the Game Reserve area (Safari Trail), or take the "Safari Tour Bus" through this area. We didn't want to take our car so we paid the extra $5 per person to go on their bus tour. While driving through the Safari Trail, you will see a pride of Lions, troops of Baboons and herds of Zebra, Giraffe, Rhino, Ostrich, and many other species, both native and exotic. It's also a great place to enjoy a picnic with your family as well. On the other side of the Safari, there's the Kiddie's water park area, the African Queen Boat Ride, the wonderful Parrot Paradise show and the Nature Boy Scenic Railway. It's definitely a place where you can...Go Wild!
