Today, I will finally be reviewing the Maybelline Baby Lips moisturizing lip balm! I can’t believe it has taken be over 5 months to put this review up! So sorry! I bought these around the same time as the Revlon Lip Butters but didn’t really get the chance to test them out until a month ago. So without further ado, here’s my review!

First off, I really want to talk about the packaging! It’s so simple and yet so cute! I’m really in love with the colors and also the font that they decided to use on the tube! I know it’s not as chic as some other products but I think the simple design really works great with this simple product. Second, I’m really enjoying the price of these! They are around $4 CAD at Walmart, which is half the price of the Revlon Lip Butters! Extremely affordable! The smell of these is also VERY DELICIOUS! The smell is reflected in the name of each lip balm and it tastes great! This is very different from the Revlon Lip Butters, which tastes and smells just like regular lipsticks.

Here are the swatches of these two color. I purchased these two shades (Peach Kiss & Pink Punch) at first because I tend to gravitate towards nudes and pinks for my lipsticks. Do not let the color of the actual lip balm fool you because the pigmentation is not as vivid as the color of the balm. But do not mistaken me, the product is still very pigmented!

030 Peach Kiss

Peach Kiss has become one of my favourite lip colour now! It’s a really subtle nude that is perfect for everyday wear! I find this specific shade to be more moisturizing than the other colour that I own. I love how it’s even more moisturizing than the Revlon Lip Butters. The only complaint that I have is that the product does have a bit of shimmer to it. That’s why it’s still not my number 1 favourite nude colour but it’s pretty close.

025 Pink Punch

Please do not let the colour of the lip balm fool you! It’s so BRIGHT on the tube but it’s actually very nice on your lips. It looks like such a barbie pink!

Though this balm is sheer, it is buildable, and Pink Punch can be layered, and becomes a bright, light pink. I wouldn’t say that this colour is subtle at all. It is a very vibrant pink and sometimes I do find it difficult to match with my looks. It’s pretty pigmented considering it’s suppose to be more of a tinted lip balm. Very moisturizing for a balm and it’s much better than a chapstick. The only downside I would say is that it’s not quite as long lasting as a Revlon Lip Butter though.

So would I recommend and re-purchase these Baby Lips Lip Balms? YES! I prefer them over the Revlon Lip Butters in both moisture and value. While Baby Lips don’t have the style and color selection Revlon Butters and L’Oreal Color Riche Balms do, it makes up for it with value and moisture!

You can purchase them here or here or here!
