FOREVER 21 OPENING IN CAUSEWAY BAY, HONG KONG

Currently Playing [DBSK - Keep your Heads Down]

In case you hadn’t heard, the Korean-owned American brand is finally gracing Hong Kong with its presence. The big launch date is this Wednesday, January 18th in a massive shopping complex in Causeway Bay (currently home to Giordano and Watsons). This prime piece of retail space will set them back HK$11 million (CAD$1.35 million) a month, double Giordano’s current rent. According to SCMP (via Retail In Asia), this means they will have to sell four or five items of clothing at an average price of HK$300 every minute in order to turn over a reasonable profit – that’s at least 6667 items a day!

Butterboom has been invited to have a sneak peek on Tuesday where they will be live-tweeting photos to their Twitter feed @Butterboom with the full story posted on Butterboom.com on Wednesday morning!

Check out some of my favourite outfits featuring some of my favourite Forever 21 pieces:

Forever 21 spiked heels

Forever 21 two texture coat

Forever 21 pink collar shirt

Forever 21 vintage wide-leg denim

Forever 21 boyfriend light-washed denim

Forever 21 yellow plaid skirt

Hopefully Forever 21 will be a huge success in the Hong Kong market and thus, will open more branches around the city. Forever 21 will definitely be a huge competitor for the similar foreign fast-fashion labels currently present in Hong Kong, such as H&M, Bershka and Cotton On.
