H&M denim jacket, UP maxi dress, American Eagle purse

I've been looking for a plain colour maxi dress for the longest time. Then I found this amazing dress at UP on sale for only $5. I quickly bought one in purple as well. I'm still having a hard time that it's only $5. See, sometimes you just have to look a little harder and you can even find great deals in places like UP, which is a store that I usually ignore in the mall. The purse reminded me of Alexander Wang's Brenda Zip Chain bag. Of course the AE one is not as nice but costing a mere $25, I had to get it. It's so hobo chic, I love it.

Oh, the H&M at Eaton Centre is having their GRAND re-opening tomorrow at noon. Be the first 300 people in line and receive a bundle of goodies from H&M and random gift certificates ranging from $15 to $500! Plus, lady jewelries are Buy 2 Get 1 Free starting tomorrow! FOR BEST RESULT
For boosted results, use the serum together with Double Extend Lash Boosting Mascara.

INGREDIENTS
aqua / water / eau, alcohol denat., glycerin, hydroxyethylcellulose, phenoxyethanol, panthenol, polysorbate 21, madecassoside, acrylamide/sodium acryloyldimethyltaurate copolymer, methylparaben, octyldodecanol, isohexadecane, sodium hyaluronate, arginine, serine, citric acid, glutamic acid, polysorbate 80, sodium hydroxide, 2-oleamido-1,3-octadecanediol

WHY YOU SHOULD SKIP THIS PRODUCT
As some of you may remember I bought this product a month ago when I saw the ad for it in Elle Canada. So it's roughly been a month (4 weeks) since I have been using this product and thus, I can write a full review about it. I had followed all the instructions and used it both in the morning and at night.

The product claims that in 4 weeks (using both in the day time and night time) that it'll boost your lashes to a longer and fuller length, prevent further losing of lashes and overall healthier lashes. I'm sad to say that after using this product for the past 4 weeks, the results were not seen! My lashes look exactly the same as it did 4 weeks ago, no changes in length or thickness. Very, very disappointing.

Applying on this product is like applying on a clear mascara. Your lashes look full when you have it on, but once you take it off, it's back to normal. Furthermore, when the serum dries, it leaves tiny white flakes on your lashes. This means that you would definitely have to wear some mascara over it to cover it up when you are going out in the morning. This is very annoying because I do not use mascara on a daily basis. Also, the applicator always leave too much of the serum on your lashes and when the serum seep into your eyes, it really burns and stings! The results were not promising for me.

Have you tried this product? What are your thoughts?

RATING
Product (2/5) - I can't give this product a passing grade because it does not fulfill its promises.
Cost (5/5) - Much more affordable ($10) than other lash serum.
Ease of Use (4/5) - The applicator is very simple but it tends to hold too much serum.
Packaging (4/5) - It's okay, nothing too fancy.

Recently, I made a purchase from NY Sweet Deco, which is a line of sweet treats/goods made by my talented friend Shiho. She's born in Japan but is now residing in New York. She turns ice-cream, cookies, doughnuts, cakes and etc into jewelry. She makes earrings, bag charms and she's also making a custom ice-cream cell phone charm for me as well. Since I have an LG Ice-cream phone, I thought it would be fitting to get an ice-cream charm! The first item I bought was this mocha flavour ice-cream with chocolate sauce earring. She's so talented and her items are so delicate and so cute! Shipping was extremely fast and free! The item was nicely packaged as well! =)

AND I WOULD GIVE MYSELF AWAY

H&M floral dress & necklace, Ebay knitted black rosary, Forever 21 fedora, vintage backpack

These are a few of my favourite purchases recently. First, I found this black knitted rosary on Ebay. I had been seeing it around on many fashion blogs and have been looking for one ever since. I wanted to purchase the one from La Dama, but didn't want to pay international shipping so I decided to look for one somewhere else. To my amazement, some Ebay seller was selling it on the site. I quickly purchased the last black one, however, I believe that there are still red ones left. If you are interested, feel free to email me about the seller's information.

Second, I love this new dress that arrived in H&M this past week. I love anything with floral even though JL often tells me that flower prints look like a curtain or table cloth. This vintage looking necklace also arrive this past week. It also came in a teal colour in the centre but decided to buy the white one in fear that I may not anything else to match with it. I'm still trying to come up with other outfits to wear the necklace with. Third, the $3 vintage black backpack was also a great find. I still cannot believe how much of my junk (wallet, DSLR, phone, make-up bag, keys & etc) can fit into it.

And in case if you are wondering, I finally tried the MAC Viva Glam in Gaga, which is what I have on my lips. Just like most people, I must admit that I love this lipstick! Thus, I went back to MAC to buy another one just for back-up. I would recommend this to anyone who's looking for a pink lipstick. I even like it more than Maybelline's Pink Please.

1) New nail polish that I bought this past Tuesday. I discovered this amazing nail polish store in Toront that sells OPI, China Glaze, Essie and Orly nail polishes at very affordable prices. (Message me if you are interested in the location) I got China Glaze For Audrey, Orly Lola, Essie Lollipop and Mesmerize.

2) I currently have China Glaze For Audrey on my nails. It's suppose to be like a Tiffany blue, which is pretty true to colour when I saw the bottle. However, when it's on my nails, it dried a bit darker than the actual colour. I didn't like that.

3) A new Hello Kitty that I bought from the H&M Kid's Department. As you may know, I love cats and I thought I would take her with me to my trip to Hong Kong in a week. She's going to be my new travel companion.

[REVIEW] - RIMMEL GLAM EYES MONO EYESHADOW

Mood [Bouncy]
Currently Playing [楊丞琳 - 雨愛]

I came across the Glam Eyes series by Rimmel when I was walking around Wal-Mart's make-up section. I couldn't resist trying them out because they look so cute and I loved all the vivid/bright colours.

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Rimmel introduces Glam’Eyes Mono Eyeshadow, a new eye shadow collection inspired by the sophistication of the London fashion scene. Soft, silky formula for smooth and saturated colour. This eyeshadow has got a long-lasting wear without creasing or fading so your perfect shade lasts as long as you do.
*High colour
*Glitter eyeshadow.

FOR BEST RESULT
Use a primer for this eyeshadow cause I found that the colours that I've tried doesn't last very long.

INGREDIENTS
Unavailable - not listed on the website.

WHY I LIKE THIS PRODUCT
I only like this product, I can't say that I loved it. For most parts, Rimmel wasn't lying when they said these were crease-resistant and easily blendable. The colours are great and vivid and stays true to what they look like in the box. The shadow also applies really smooth, however, I would not use the applicator that's included with the shadow cause it's very cheap looking and it's not the best qualities. Plus, the shadow is very affordable! If I remember correctly, it was around $3 CAD in Wal-Mart.

However, the shadow doesn't last very long. In about 4 hours, the colour starts to fade, which does not support the product's claim to last for up to 8 hours. Perhaps it's better to use a primer prior to this product. Both Night Jewel and Posh Peacock are very pigmented, but Royal Violet is very powdered! The swatch that I made on my hand was done over and over again. So I would stay away from the Royal Violet but definitely try out the other two. Another negative is that this product is a mono eyeshadow, so if you want variety, don't bother trying this.

Have you tried any of the new Glam'eyes shadows yet?

RATING
Product (4/5) - Royal Violet is very powdered thus, results vary.
Cost (5/5)
Ease of Use (4/5) - The product comes with a very cheap applicator, it's better to use your own brushes.
Packaging (5/5)

Hong Kong jean jacket & maxi skirt, H&M floral top, Claire's headband, Pacific Mall boots

It's been a while since I've had an outfit post, sorry! Lately, I haven't been feeling inspired to put on anything that I feel is worthy to be photographed and posted on this blog. I saw an outfit like this one in the Popteen scans that I posted up recently and decided to imitate the look. I was instantly called a hippie the moment I stepped into H&M for work. Haha! I can't help it, I love the bohemian look!

As I had promised before, I'll give my readers a list of all the Ebay sellers that I had purchased false lashes from. These sellers have great communication and many of them sell the lashes at very, very afordabe prices. The only draw back is that these sellers are from China, so it takes about 2 weeks to receive the lashes if you are in North America. However, if you can wait, definitely go check them out:

[REVIEW] - N.Y.C LIP SLIDERS TINTED LIP BALM

Mood [Hot]
Currently Playing [Super Junior - Sorry, Sorry]

I recently purchased these NYC Lip Sliders Tinted Lip Balm in Sugar Kiss and Sugar Coated at Wal-Mart for around $2.56. I've read so many reviews about these and decided to give them a try. I have heard that Sugar Coated is similar to MAC Cremesheen BoyBait, which is around $18. Knowing how much I love pink colours so I thought that I can't go wrong with these.

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Delivers a sheer pop of color with an intense gloss finish. Hydrating and conditioning formula with rich botanical oils & vitamins leaves lips extra soft. Sweet flavor makes this a yummy treat!

FOR BEST RESULT
Apply a thin layer of balm to lips as often as desired.

INGREDIENTS
Rich emollient oils and butters, infused with vitamins

WHY I LOVE THIS PRODUCT
Hydrating and conditioning formula protects lips and gives lips a sheer pop of color and intense shine. I can't say that I'm absolutely in love with this product, but it's decent for its price. However, I still like the MAC Cremesheen BoyBait better because the colour looks a lot richer and it has an applicator. I really don't like to get my hands all messy and dirty from lip balm.

Naturally, I have really dark/red lips, so the Sugar Coated was hardly visible on me. However, the Sugar Kiss looked a lot better and it was a lot more buildable than the other colour. This product also have a very sweet taste, which I really like. It taste and smell like candy, which I really enjoy. The slider also looks really cool. Overall, I think it's worth buying this product to give it a try. I've checked around 3 Wal-Marts around my area and most of them had already sold out of the Sugar Coated. I bought the last one that I could find. So if you want to try that shade specifically, either go quickly go to Wal-Mart or try a drug store instead.

RATING
Product (4/5) - Sugar Coated wasn't visible on my lips.
Cost (5/5)
Ease of Use (4/5) - It would be a lot easier if it had an applicator. I hate using my fingers to apply lip products.
Packaging (5/5)

POPTEEN MAY 2010 ISSUE SCANS

Mood [Cranky]
Currently Playing [No Doubt - It's My Life]

I never liked PopTeen as much as I have liked ViVi in the past. However, this issue had really caught my attention. I really loved all the hair tutorials in this issue! I can't wait to try them out when I hair grows out longer. I also love all the denim stuff that they have included in this issue. Now I want to buy a denim dress! (^__~) However, I still like ViVi models better than PopTeen's, maybe because I'm just a huge fan of Jun Hasegawa...haha!

If you want to take any of the scans, it's greatly appreciated if you would please credit it back to me! Many thanks!

[REVIEW] - MONTAGNE JEUNESSE ANTI PUFFINESS COOL EYES

Mood [Mellow]
Currently Playing [Utada Hikaru - Flavor of Life]

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
There’s nothing worse than puffy tired eyes! A unique blend of Plant Collagen, Liquorice and Pumpkin helps calm swelling and irritation – just fabulous. They revitalise circulation and make the under eye area appear tighter and feel firmer.
* Suitable For Vegans
* Gluten Free
* Dairy Free
* Nut Derivative Free
* 2 x 2 Patches = 4 Gel Patches in Total

FOR BEST RESULT
Chill in the fridge for at least 1 hour before use. Remove one set of Cool Eyes patches from pouch. Apply one patch under each eye and press down firmly to ensure contact. Leave on for 30-50 minutes for best results. Re-Seal pouch and put back into the fridge (optional), ready for your next use.

INGREDIENTS
Liquorice, Potato, Pumpkin, Pseudocollagen

WHY I LIKE THIS PRODUCT
Overall, this product was okay. I can't say that I dislike it, but I can't say that I love it either. After using this twice, I can't say that it has reduced the puffiness in my eyes, however, it did help with the dark circles, a very tiny bit, even though that this wasn't what I was looking for. It was very comfortable to use and easy to get off. The price is pretty reasonable as well, considering it was less than $5 for 4 patches. The results were not as dramatic as I had hope it would be but maybe it just needs to be used at a regular basis. Maybe this product will work for you, but it was only okay for me. I was looking for something with faster results. But if you are interested, you can find this in the beauty section in Wal-Mart.

RATING
Product (3.5/5) - The results were not instant.
Cost (5/5)
Ease of Use (5/5)
Packaging (4/5) - The silver border is a little tacky.

Forever 21 shoes

These babies arrive in the mail this morning. I was so excited to try them on and to take photos of them right away! I placed a pretty huge order last Saturday on Forever 21 online and these two pairs of shoes have to be my favourite items from the package. They are so stunning and so affordable! (The studded heels was on sale for $15 and the cut-out one was $35). However, I can already feel that the strings from the cut-out pair will leave a deep imprint on my feet.

I have also found scans for the Ranzuki May 2010 issue and I thought I would share them on my blog: (I really want a pair of overalls and I can't find them anywhere! I also want new pair of baggy pants too! So many stuff I need to buy when I get to Hong Kong!)

1) His & Her DS: clearly JL is obsessed with Gundam. (Sorry for the glare in the photo, too lazy to fix it) He bought Pokemon Gold & Silver for the both of us when it was first released. We never got the chance to really start the game until today.

2) JL very happily opening his first real DS game. Every other game he has downloaded onto his R4/TT. And the only reason why we decided to buy the real thing is because the download version of the new pokemon lags every minute, no jokes. Of course, the little Pokemon walker is an extra bonus. YOU'VE CAPTURED MY HEART WITH THIS LOVE

Mood [Anxious]
Currently Playing [BBMak - Out of My Heart]

Wilfred gray cropped button-up & mesh tank, Forever 21 bra & necklace, Garage skirt, Hong Kong lace leggings

I rediscovered Garage Clothing recently. I use to shop there when I was in my early teens but have never went back there after high school. It was only around two weeks ago when I saw this really cute hoodie in their store front window that I decided to walk into the store again. And to my surprise, it's a great store for basics, such as tees, tanks, sweaters and etc. I picked up two pull-over hoodies (since it was 50% off hoodies last week), a skirt (shown above) and a cropped t-shirt that I absolutely love. What a shock it was to me when everything ringed up to around $50.

As some of you may realize by now, most of my clothing are from two stores: H&M (where I work) or Forever 21 (where I'm obsessed with because it's so easy to shop online). I'm lazy to venture out of these two stores, even though I work in a pretty decent mall. This is probably one of the only outfit that I'm not wearing anything from H&M.

This weekend consisted of work, work and work. I had to work both Saturday and today. At least it's been sunny, but the temperature is still a little cold. Looking at the 14 trend on the weather channel, it doesn't look like I'll be getting any summer-like weather before I leave for Hong Kong in May. I guess I'll have to wear all my summer clothing there.

ENDED

After entering many giveaways, I decided to have one of my own as well to thank all my followers and readers. Thank you so much for all your sweet comments and for coming back to my blog days after days. I'm glad that my life is entertaining enough for you guys to read! Haha! So here are the amazing prizes, keep in mind that everything I'm giving away here are products that I've used before and I've liked/loved and that I believe in:

1) A set of 10 synthetic, crisscross false lashes. These ones I just bought recently on Ebay and they are even more natural than the other ones that I have. These lashes are shorter in the inner corner and longer in the outer corner. They are stunning on!

2) Air Brush false nails that I bought from Hong Kong. I love dark colour nail polish, so I thought I would throw this in the giveaway. These set of nails also have little flower designs on them as well and it also comes with the glue.

3) Revlon's spring collection nail polish in Peach Petal. I usually don't buy Revlon nail polish because they usually streaks, however, this collection has really changed my mind. After purchasing this and trying it on, I loved it! Thus, I decided to go back to Shopper's and buy another one for my giveaway. Now you can tell me what you think of it!

4) Red hair scrunchie because I love using scrunchies. I always put my hair up on the side with different colour scrunchies. I have this exact same scrunchie and I really like it. Hope you will too! (^____^)

5) Rimmel eyeshadow quad in 013 Sweet Smoulder. I'm a huge fan of Rimmel make up, therefore I had to include something from their collection. These colours are very bright and vivid, which I think is perfect for the spring season.

6) 3 Life brand face mask from Shopper's Drug Mart: exfoliating treatment with cream and honey, chocolate nourishing mud mask with cocoa and shea butters and detoxifying face mask with lotus flower and ginseng. Believe it or not, Life makes some very good face mask! I was hesitant to try it at first because it is from Shopper's, however, I was quickly proven wrong. I especially love the detoxifying one because it controlled my break-out really well. The chocolate on smells really nice and the exfoliating one keeps my skin very smooth. However, I do find them a little pricey because they cost $3 for one mask. =S

7) Finally a brand new Forever 21 scarf just because I shop so much from this store I had to include something from there.

A recent kitty that JL bought for me. For those of you who do not know, I love kitties. The main reason being because JL's love for cats have started to rub off of me ever since we started dating. My bed is so filled with stuffed toys that there isn't much room left for me to sleep in. Maybe it's time for a bigger bed, haha!

I stayed up pretty much all night last night, with exceptions of a few mini naps here and there, to finish my final art history paper. I have now finished all the school stuff for this year but will have one more week of practicum before I can truly say that I'm completely finished for my third year. It's time to start planning on a lesson for those high-schoolers. The end is so near.

Toronto has been hit with a massive amount of rain for the past 48 hours, it's a little disgusting, depressing and not mention cold. Who has forbid the sun to shine? I want to take out all my spring clothing.

1) Some make-up related stuff I bought over the weekend. I finally bought a nude colour lipstick my Rimmel in 700 Nude Delight. I'll provide some swatches of everything later. I still can't find the Maybelline Eyestudio Color Plush Silk Eyeshadow in Give Me Gold. I think I went to about 5 different Wal-Mart's and 3 different drug stores and still couldn't find it.

2) I finally got my hands on the two limited edition Vivi Glam lipstick by MAC, both in Gaga and Cyndi. I couldn't believe that they still had them at the Scarborough Town Centre store. They just re-stocked and I was so lucky to get them before they were all sold out again! I haven't tried either of the lipstick out yet, but will do a review soon.

3) The Maybelline Eye Studio Lasting Dram Gel Eyeliner went on sale at Shopper's and the Store near Warden & Huntingwood still had the black one left! They were sold out in most of the Shopper's that I went to so I was pretty shocked to see it there. With all the other things, review will come shortly, I promise!
